River adventures are a fun way to explore and gain a fresh perspective of the stunning valley. Whether you’re in for an adrenaline kick or you prefer a chill day on the lake, Soča Valley has it all. To make your decision easier here's a list of seven fun ways to get yourself wet in the Soča Valley.

1: White Water Rafting

Those who seek heart-pumping adventure can try the white water rafting on the rapids of the Soča river. Don’t forget to drag your best companions into the same boat. Together with your guide you will traverse river rapids and navigate around rocks. After all, rafting is all about team spirit, energy, fun, adrenaline all combined in pristine nature.

2: Soča river tubing

Do you prefer a bagel to a bun? Then a floating tube is your best choice. This laid back activity is perfect if you want to hang out on the river, together with your friends or family after an active day. You and your guide will slide into the inflatable tube and hit the river. Great thing is, you can stop anywhere, listen to the interesting river tales, jump from rocks and enjoy the sun while floating on Soča.

3: Canyoning

Go deep and to the bottom of it all with canyoning.  Gaze through the forests, slide on river waterfalls and land in crystal clear pools. In Bovec, the Sušec canyon is the most popular one. It is a natural adventure park with waterslides, jumping opportunities and amazing nature you wouldn’t normally get to see. Want to kick it up a notch? Join a trip to the Fraterica canyon and add a 50m rope descent down a tall waterfall - using a rope of course. Accompanied with the best guides you are in for a real treat. Meeting Mountains recommend the local agency SportMix. They are a friendly family business that really takes care of their guides - and guests.

4: Kayaking

Soča Valley is one of Europe’s most popular kayak destinations. Cruising in small narrow watercraft allows you to become one with the river, follow its rhythm and move dynamically. The World’s best paddlers come here to ride some technically demanding sections. New to the sport? Don’t worry, there are also smaller rapids and calmer spots that offer a great introduction to the paddling culture.

5: Packraft

Searching for a little more stability, but an equal amount of fun? A packraft is a good alternative to a kayak. Packraft is an inflatable one-person boat suitable for white water paddling. It bounces off rocks and it is more stable than the regular hardshell kayak. So sit into it, become the captain of a one-person raft and seize the day.

6: Hydrospeed

To blend into the Soča river flow even more take a hold of hydrospeed, locally known as the river bob. With fins on your feet and a hydrospeed in your hands, you will be able to swim in the wild waters. Turn up the speed and wiggle around the rocks.

7: Paddleboard

Want to drop the pace a little? Step onto the large SUP board and gracefully paddle your way into the sunset. Explore the hidden gorges near the lake on Most na Soči, sail under high Alpin peaks at Rabel lake or challenge your balance on the Soča river’s waves. Stand Up Paddeling is suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Follow the positive vibes of Bovec Sup, who take you on an intimate journey.
