Inspiration

Hike up a mountain, paraglide down then land next to a picnic with live local music playing. Each of those impressions are highly memorable, but when combined you get a strong emotional response.

All the experiences we provide are not that elaborate, but one thing you can count on is that we pay attention to detail and care for your trip so that you can just relax and enjoy the impressions.

Action Family

Group size: Eight
Age:
26-58
Nationality:
UK
Duration:
Five days

This family of eight guests were active for the majority of their visit. We rented them our favourite house in the valley - with a large grassy recreational area next to private Soča River access. Because they arrived in the afternoon and hadn’t seen each other for a long time, Meeting Mountains filled their refrigerator with food so that they could spend the first night catching up without having to leave their house. The morning after, we stopped by their house to present them the area and a suggested itinerary for the week. They went along with all of it! Did you look at the video “Action Family” on our front page? It’s them.

Culinary Couple

Group size: Two
Age:
41 and 45
Nationality:
Swedish
Duration:
Five days

This Scandinavian couple wanted to focus their Slovenia visit on culinary experiences. Upon arrival we prepared them a riverside picnic - so that they relax and indulge local specialities in the midst of nature. During their stay we visited two producers of cheese, one deer farm, two wine tastings, an olive oil tasting. Experiences included a vegan cooking course by our founder, a barbecue in a cave, traditional soup in a mountain hut, a tour of edible alpine plants and truffle hunting in Istria. Their trip highlight was a visit at Hisa Franko - Slovenias only restaurant with two Michelin stars. They returned happily to Sweden with bellies and suitcases full or food and wine.

This well travelled middle eastern man had experienced a lot in his life. Because he arrived alone, it was easy to be flexible and we could offer him a very high paced itinerary - combining several activities per day. On the first day we brought him on “The Quadrupel” - A 22 kilometre journey travelled down the valley using ziplines, mountain bike, kayak and raft. As his week continued, we rappelled him down the scenic Kozjak waterfall, he spent a night sleeping in a tent hanging on the side of a mountain and went free diving in the Soča River. His trip highlight was a two day hiking trip to Triglav, Slovenias highest mountain, together with one of Slovenias only two female mountain guides.
